The disaster in Haiti is beyond words and watching it on television makes us all want to reach out and help, but feel powerless to do anything. Well… here is a place to begin: http://www.churchworldservice.org/site/PageServer?pagename=kits_main
You can put together a kit from items you have or new items, or you can donate money to have a kit sent on your behalf. Whatever you can do will help- so please do!
This is my first Illustration Friday illustration.. it’s a bit bare and simple and I did it quickly. This is acryllic paint on heavy paper. I’m hoping to participate more in Illustration Friday- seems fun to have an out-of-the-box project to go for. Let’s hope this will help me sharpen my skills!
I thought this fancy lady was a bit skinny- but she does live in Miami and needs to be in next to nothing on a daily basis.

I saw this on Melissa Esplin’s blog: ISLY and I just love seeing a logo sketch and the final file. It’s so fun to see where an artist began and ended. I thought I’d share it with you! I hope you enjoy it too!

Honestly, do I really have time to collect another hobby? Perhaps not, but I’ll do it anyway. This is just too beautiful and charming. I think I want it for my daughter’s room too! Check out the blog, mmmmcrafts - her work is amazing.
Check out this crib. I found it on DesignMom.com and she has it linked from a friend of hers. Anyway- it is GENIUS. The crib that we have is very basic, and I am not a tall person- I am 5 foot 2.5 inches. Yes- I include the half inch, because it matters. Anyway- It’s always difficult to pull that mattress out of the crib to change it. Bending in to get it is one issue- and then the second issue is that most of the time- the crib gets caught on one of the coils from the bottom of the crib. I hate changing the crib sheets. Hate. Hate. Hate. Oh- yeah- I really don’t like it. Anyway- I now want this crib. The odds of my husband making one… umm… slim to none. It won’t happen. But I shall covet it from afar!
